The day went something like this...
I started the morning at Quebec's Hotel in Leeds with Sophia and her bridal party as they got ready for the big day. They all looks great in their matching robes and when the champagne started flowing, so did the giggles!
Weddings at The Mansion House in Doncaster
Although Sophia and Dom live in Brooklyn now, they didn't always. They met at University in Leeds which is why they chose New Craven Hall for their reception, as it was nearby their first flat together.
The ceremony was held at The Mansion in Doncaster (Dom's old 'hood'). I was amazed at how such an impressive building could be so hidden in the middle of Doncaster town centre.
there was a small room just of where the ceremony took place and it was perfect for a really cute first look!
Sophia and Dom had a legal ceremony in New York so they got one of their friends to act as a celebrant. Dom's mum sadly was too ill to make the ceremony, so some friends facetimed her in.
Once the ceremony was done, (and Sophia managed to get all of the confetti out of her mouth) we popped in the car and made our way to New Craven Hall for the reception, but not before some portraits down at Clarence Dock.
New Craven Hall Weddings
New Craven Hall is in the developing industrial area south of Leeds city centre. It doesn't try to hide this, and somehow manages to be an attractive and modern space for a people holding weddings. It has exposed brick walls and fairy lights as far as the eyes can see, with large metal beams which combines with warm lighting and soft furnishings to create the perfect atmosphere.
Once the group shots and the speeches were done, the settled into one hell of a party!
I'll be honest, I love every bit of a wedding, but the party is definitely my favourite!
