I’d been photographing (and enjoying) events that Alex had been hosting for a couple of years before he and Shamaine asked me to photograph their wedding. Alex was the community director of Yelp and knew A LOT of great suppliers, so when they were planning their wedding, they knew exactly who to call. This wedding was a great blend of London (Shamaine) and Boston (Alex) and what a superb combination that turned out to be!

The day went something like this...

Alex and Shamaine both got ready at 10 Manchester Street Hotel and when I arrived, I shared my time between the lads in the cigar room, and the ladies getting their hair and makeup done.

The LookOut is an enclosed and flexible event space set within an acre of beautiful gardens in the heart of Hyde Park. Wooden terraces, ecological ponds, natural sculptures, nature and wildlife all work in perfect harmony to provide a truly unique wedding experience.

Once the ceremony was over, I took Alex and Shamaine off for some portraits in the stunning grounds of The LookOut.

When the couple portraits were over, and we had some amazing street-food, we ducked inside (out of the rain showers) for the speeches!

Speeches over, it was time for their first dance together as husband and wife. Shout out to Jennifer Sobola AKA Da Sweetnezz for providing the epic soundtrack!

Alex and Shamaine were big on the London social scene, so their wedding was guaranteed to be awesome!
