I’ve known Ben for over 15 years now, (he was the reason I was so hungover after my own wedding) and when he and Hannah announced their wedding plans, I was thrilled they asked me to photograph the official ceremony at The Blacksmiths Clayworth, so I could have the day off to celebrate with them the day after.
Hannah and her family were getting ready at their family home just down the road from the venue. we grabbed a couple of quick 'grab & grin' shots before we started our walk to the Blacksmiths to meet Ben and the rest of the guests.
Weddings at The Blacksmiths in Clayworth are great for people who want an intimate wedding, with just their immediate family.
Civil ceremonies take place in the Oakroom, which is the perfect bright & romantic space to say ‘I do’. There is no minimum number of guests and it easily seats 80, in a traditional
isle and row style with standing room for 20 more. Its wooden floor
and high wooden beams create the perfect backdrop for timeless
photographs, as you'll see below.
After the ceremony, we quickly popped out to grab a couple of portraits.
After the portraits, there were no speeches, just an intimate family dinner.
I was so honoured to be asked to photograph this intimate celebration of my friends' love for each other... Particularly seeing as it freed me up to party with them the day after!
